A Little About Me

Richard is the founder, CEO and Chief Property Wealth Planner at inSynergy Property Wealth Advisory.

Deeply passionate about property investment, Richard began investing in property at the age of 21 and owned six properties by the time he was 30.

After a 13-year career as an officer in the Australian Defence Force his personal passion for real estate sowed the seed for his career in property investment.

Years of working with some of Australia’s leading financial services providers coupled with experience gained from his own property investment journey led Richard to develop a science of optimising investment returns from property while minimising risk – something unique in a cluttered marketplace of brokers and ‘spruikers’.

Richard and the inSynergy team have now worked with hundreds of investors to help them make more money from property with less risk. As Chief Property Investment Advisor, Richard works with investors to formulate their property investment strategy, develop sophisticated borrowing structures and source property stock that meets inSynergy’s strict risk-adjusted criteria.

A regular columnist for Peninsula Living magazine on Sydney’s Northern Beaches and North Shore, Richard is widely recognised as one of the industry’s thought leaders and is an accredited QPIA (qualified property investment advisor) with PIPA, the property investment professionals of Australia.

A Little About Me

As a passionate property investor himself, Ben decided to diversify his career portfolio by becoming a mortgage broker in 2018; having worked as an immigration lawyer for 12 years and running his own law practice for 7 of those years. Ben recognised that whilst he loved the client relationship side of his job as a lawyer, he missed the excitement of working in a field that truly fuelled his passion – Property!! Ben is also a Qualified Real Estate Agent, having worked as a real estate agent whilst completing his law degree all those years ago.

In his role at inSynergy Ben is one of our experienced Property Wealth Planners as well as leading and mentoring the Investment Finance Broking team. Ben’s experience and presence gained throughout his legal career are an asset to his role at inSynergy.

Ben is a busy father of two and enjoys catching up with friends, exercising and watching his Australian and American sports.

A Little About Me

David’s love for property is evident through the enthusiasm he brings to the office each day.  A Licenced Real-Estate Agent with a Masters in Property Development, David has 20+ years property experience in both private and corporate sectors, specialising in residential and project marketing.

As an astute property investor himself, David enjoys the client relationships developed through his role and being part of the property wealth creation journey. “That light bulb moment when your client realises, they have the knowledge and means to secure the financial future of their family and retirement; and a plan in place to do so…  The greatest reward working in property wealth advisory”.
David is born and bred on Sydney’s north shore and northern beaches and is a local Manly resident.  You will find him every morning swimming to Shelly Beach with the Bold & Beautiful and enjoys golf and tennis in his spare time.

Gary’s background as a Chartered Accountant specialising in IT system design and development across a range of industries including not-for-profit give him a unique perspective and understanding of finance and its applications.

Decades long love of property has seen Gary invest in a range of property projects. This, combined with his desire to help others achieve financial security through property investment make him a great fit for inSynergy.

Gary’s experience creating tailored solutions across the SME space and love of property will seamlessly translate to creating bespoke property investment strategies for clients to help them build wealth through safe property investment.

TIM NIMMO

A Little About Me

Tim has always been interested in property, purchasing his first when he was just 19 years old. Tim subdivided the property and sold the second block, giving him his first taste of profiting from property.

Beginning his career as an electrician, Tim spent 10 years in the trade before making the move to the property industry full time. When commencing in the property industry, Tim studied project management and worked with a property developer who specialised in greenfields development.

Throughout his time Tim continued to buy and sell property which led to him founding a Buyers Agency 10 years ago out of the demand he experienced from those in his circle asking him questions and for assistance with their property purchases.

To better service his clients and ensure they were in the financial position to purchase property, Tim also became a qualified mortgage broker. Over the last 10 years Tim has helped his clients purchase a few hundred properties and has the in depth knowledge and expertise to assist with both brand new and established properties.

Outside of work Tim has a beautiful family, has been happily married for 25 years to his wife and they have raised three daughters. He has a love of nature especially the ocean / water sports including snorkelling, scuba diving and surfing.

RYAN PEARCE

Head of Property Acquisitions & Research
A Little About Me

Ryan has spent the last 7 years working with both developers and agencies in the proptech space. This has allowed him to be exposed to the entire industry, on both sides, giving him fantastic insights to what makes up a great development, as well as how properties can provide different solutions to clients portfolio needs.

Ryan has seen a lot of buyer behaviour from the client side and a lot of development strategy from the marketers side and has been skilled at matchmaking the two.

He has been living the northern beaches lifestyle for the last 4 years and has recently become a new father so has his hands full with his two dogs and young family!

KEVIN HOANG

Chief Economist
A Little About Me

Dr. Kevin Hoang is a senior economist by training who has extensive experience in economic research, economic modelling and property market analytics across different sectors including government, university and industry in Australia and Asia.

Kevin earned a PhD in Economics at the University of New South Wales (UNSW) in Sydney, Australia in 2012 and was a Japan-IMF scholar in Tokyo, Japan in 2004-2006.

In his role of Chief Economist at inSynergy, Kevin is the driving force behind the investment property research, property market analytics and economics work streams that aim to empower informed and facts-based investment decisions for inSynergy business and its clients.

Kevin’s love of property started when he bought a subdivisible lot of land in Adelaide to build three townhouses and his property journey started from there. Kevin believes that property investment, if done correctly, can be a powerful way to build wealth for aspiring Australian individuals and families.

Kevin is curious about the world and a keen explorer, having lived and worked as local resident across three countries including Vietnam, Japan and Australia and conquered the Fuji Mountain in Japan at the age of 24. In his spare time, he loves playing tennis, swimming, bush walking along the eastern suburbs’ coastline and spending quality time with his two kids and his wife.

I also get to see what they can achieve financially and how this can change their lives.”

In his role as Property Investment Specialist, Tomas uses his extensive research and data analysis skills to conduct detailed analysis of emerging property areas to help clients build a property portfolio that delivers strong equity gains and is supported by a sound wealth creation and management strategy. The ever-changing property industry keeps Tomas challenged and he loves the opportunity for continuous learning, personal and professional growth.

Rhys graduated from Macquarie University with a bachelor’s degree in applied finance. Throughout his studies he excelled in econometrics, forecasting and corporate valuations courses. He is passionate about transferring the finance and investment knowledge that he has gained into the property sector.

Throughout his studies, Rhys gained practical experience in the liquor industry working for various bottle shops across the Northern Suburbs. This experience has developed him as a sociable and friendly individual.

Outside of work Rhys is an avid sports player and fan, with specific interest in football and basketball.

A Little About Me
Dean’s career began as a Personal Trainer, where for over 12 years he worked closely with high-net worth clientele, building strong relationships based on trust, discipline and results. During this time, he developed a passion for property investment, becoming an active investor himself more than 10 years ago. Through his own experience, Dean learned first-hand that long-term wealth is not built from saving alone, but from making smart and strategic investment decisions.
This personal journey led him to transition into the property advocacy and advisory space, where he has spent the past four years helping clients build their own wealth through property. Dean is a Licensed Real Estate Agent across Australia, PIPA accredited and also holds qualifications in finance and mortgage broking. His blend of professional expertise and real-world investing experience allows him to provide clients with well-rounded, practical guidance tailored to their goals.
Away from work, Dean is a dedicated father of two young children, who still makes time for his passion for health and fitness, and enjoys following AFL and basketball.

Ben is currently studying Property Economics at UTS and previously interned with the inSynergy team. With a strong passion for property investment, Ben has rejoined inSynergy to further expand his knowledge and experience in the industry.
In his role at inSynergy, Ben specialises in supporting the property team and collaborates closely with team members, clients, and suppliers. His position complements his university studies, allowing him to enhance the skills he developed in both his academic journey and previous internship.
Growing up on the Northern Beaches, Ben has a love for the surf and sea, enjoys basketball and wishes to make his own property investments soon, but for now, he’s thrilled to be guiding customers through their own investment journeys here at inSynergy.

Tom Sheppard

A Little About Me
Tom is currently studying a Bachelor of Property at the International College of Management Sydney (ICMS) and is completing his internship with the inSynergy Property Wealth Advisory team.
Through his studies at ICMS, Tom has developed a strong foundation in property investment, market research, and industry tools such as RP Data and Excel. His degree has deepened both his technical understanding of property markets and his interest in strategic investment. Tom also brings excellent communication and people skills, shaped by his time working in hospitality, where he learned the importance of empathy, adaptability, and creating positive client experiences. He has also gained hands-on insight from working on construction sites, further adding to his well-rounded perspective of the property landscape.
At in Synergy, Tom supports the property advisory team in guiding clients through the investment process. His role allows him to learn from experienced mentors while assisting with research, administration, and ensuring a smooth client journey – helping turn strategic advice into practical outcomes.
Outside of work, Tom enjoys staying active at the gym and spending quality time with friends and family. He’s passionate about property as a long-term pathway to wealth and looks forward to growing his career in the industry as well as learning how to begin his own property portfolio.

A Little About Me

Glenn first dipped his toes into the world of property nearly 10 years ago which subsequently lit a fire which developed into a new passion in his life.

He brings a wealth of experience in the finance industry as he has worked in residential and business finance since stepping onto our golden shores over 11 years ago.

Glenn joins us to align his passion for finance and property and help deliver the best possible wealth solutions for our clients.

His main passions in life are sport, his partner and real estate (in no particular order). Originally from the U.K. Glenn came to Australia 11 years ago and has engrained himself into the Bondi bubble (as most Englishmen do). Feel free to ask him about his Football, Union, NRL or AFL teams results on the weekend but be warned, once started he’s hard to stop.

As a mother of a young boy, she also understands the need to provide your family a secure future and is a driven to help clients achieve that.

A Commerce graduate majoring in Finance, Mac blends his academic grounding with practical industry knowledge to help clients make confident, informed decisions. In 2025, he was recognised in the industry as a finalist for the PIPA Graduate of the Year, reflecting his commitment to professional excellence and client-focused advice.

After spending six months in Indonesia working as a surf guide, Mac returns to inSynergy with broadened perspective, renewed energy, and a deepened passion for helping clients grow their wealth through strategic property investment.

Hey there, I’m Bailey, the baby of the business! I might be young, but I’ve got a heart as big as the moon, and I’m here to fill your day with joy and wagging tails!

Interests: Oh boy, where do I even begin? Belly rubs, belly rubs, and more belly rubs! They’re my ultimate weakness! I’m also a pro at spreading happiness and cheer around the office.

Personality: They say I’m a bundle of endless energy and affection, and it’s true! I love making new friends, both human and canine alike, and I’m always up for a game of fetch or chase around the office. I’m known for my playful antics and charming puppy eyes that can melt hearts in an instant. My enthusiasm for life is contagious, and I’m a firm believer in spreading positivity wherever I go.
